Biscuits and Groovy

Wonderful place to visit for your fix of biscuits and gravy! The gravy is delicious and has just the right amount of pepper. There’s plenty of bite-sized sausages sprinkled on top. The biscuits are fluffy and soft. The combination is perfect! My only qualm is the parking. There’s no lot to park in so you have to find street parking which is fine, but proved a bit difficult on a late Sunday morning. Other than that, I’d say it’s worth a visit. They also have another location further south that I’ve also been to and parking is a bit easier there.

I don’t want to leave a bad review. But the truth is: several times now THIS LOCATION has failed to make my order correct. I’m vegan, I look forward to this vegan breakfast at least once a week for over a year now. The BARTON SPRINGS location usually doesn’t give me any issues. But several times (including this morning) my order has come back with real eggs when I order from the DUVAL location. Also there’s been a noticeable amount of times that my order doesn’t come with potatoes (a $1 increase) and/or jalapeños. At the BARTON SPRINGS location after checking in for pickup, they request a few extra minutes so they can melt the cheese and have it hot and ready. They’ve never done that here at DUVAL. The food is incredible when it’s correct. So I’d suggest the BARTON SPRINGS location, the scenery is better there anyway. I moved up to north Austin and was excited that the DUVAL location was less than 2mi away. But I guess from here I’ll have to go out of my way to the better location if I expect my food to be made properly. This is so disappointing.
